If you’re here, you must be interested in our local history.  Why not join our history society?  It’s a few simple steps, as follows:

Please fill in the form below. You will be sent a numbered membership card.  With this, admission to the regular talks we hold will be free.  Any other events we may put on may be at preferential rates.

Support us with an Annual Membership

The Society and the Museum are run entirely by volunteers and we rely on donations from people like you. Money raised is used for speakers’ costs, museum operation, admin, History Day and other events that benefit the local community.

Membership is on an annual basis, so you can join in any month of the year and your membership will be due for renewal in 12 months (we’ll send you an email to check that you want to renew) . Individual membership is £25 per year. Dual membership (two people living at the same address) is £40 per year. Membership for 18-25 year olds is £10 per year. Membership for under 18s is free.

Membership entitles you to attend the 9 talks and other events during the year. Talks are generally held on the last Wednesday of the month, excepting July, August and December. Bring your friends and family; they can claim a 20% discount on door admission if accompanied by a member. The cost of talks for non-members is £10.
