Wincanton Cake Competition
Calling all Bakers!
Dust off the Kenwood and get your pinnies on for Wincanton Museum and History Society is inviting you to whip up one of six delicious historical cakes as part of our historical cake baking competition on Wincanton History Day on 9th March. We have chosen six historical recipes which we are inviting you to bake. Judging to take place on the day with a winner in each category including a Best Under 14s. All you need to do is register your interest at enq@wincantonhistorysociety.com stating your first, second and third choice of recipe from the following: 1. Trench Cake. 2. Battenburg Cake. 3. Sedgemoor Easter Cake. 4. Somerset Apple Cake. 5. Traditional Plum Cake. 6. Madeira Cake. Include your name and contact phone number and we will send you a recipe and entry details. Cake recipe choice subject to availability.
